Sharing logs

Sometimes to fix some bugs, or analyze some issue our team needs to see what's wrong. Logs helps with dealing with issues and bugs.

Enabling logs

By default logs are disabled, this guide will show you how to enable logs.

  1. Navigate to Settings and scroll down until you see SKipper version. Settings view

  2. Tap/click on version and show About About modal

  3. Toggle Store logs and confirm with modal. As making logs can affect performance it's best to not leave them on when you're running SKipper without any issues you wish to report.

  4. Now all user, server actions are logged into persistent file.

  5. Navigate to page where you see issue, or make action that causes bug to record it into log.

  6. Go back to About (Settings -> tap on version) and click on Share log data.

  7. Confirm sharing request. Share logs confirm modal

  8. Your logs will be shared via SKipper paste service and link will be generated. SKipper share link is displayed

  9. Now it's good time to turn off logs. Just toggle Store file logs.
